HARGEISA -Somaliland President welcome delegation from Turkey led by the Turkish ambassador to Somalia Mr Hani Torun. This is the second delegation from Turkey to visit the country within last two weeks, last delegation was Turkey's International Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA) for Somali Program Coordinator Abdulahad Kokdagi accompanied by representative of the Turkish Prime Minister.

The Seychelles government says it has transferred 17 convicted Somali pirates to a jail in Somaliland because of overcrowding in its prisons. Seychelles Minister of Home Affairs and Transport Joel Morgan said Thursday this is the first time pirates have been moved to Somaliland to complete their jails term.
