Turkish company will begin producing oil in Somaliland

16 Nov, 2012 - Turkish oil company Genel Energy PLC bought a license to search for oil in Somaliland. According to Turkish media, Genel Energy PLC, which has invested mineral exploration investment in the semi-autonomous Kurdistan region, said in a press release that Somaliland has a similar geographical features “with the neighbouring Arabian Peninsula where discovered rich deposits of natural resources.
